CARAMOOR'S POPULAR HOLIDAY TEA MUSICALES BEGIN DECEMBER 3RD IN THE ROSEN HOUSE

Katonah, NY - The perennially-popular Holiday Tea Musicales at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts begin on Thursday, December 3, 2009 in the historic Rosen House at Caramoor.
These "evergreen" afternoon events start with a guided tour of the splendid Rosen House, festively decorated for the holiday season, followed by a recital of holiday favorites in the majestic Music Room and including several sing-alongs for jolly good cheer. A formal tea concludes the afternoon in the Summer Dining Room and includes a scrumptious spread of tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves, mouth-watering desserts (including holiday treats!) and a variety of teas. Hot chocolate is served for youngsters.
This year the Rosen House is happy to introduce Holiday Tea Musicales and Champagne, making the entire afternoon tea even more festive with the addition champagne and chocolates. In addition to all the wonderful formal tea offerings, you will be served a glass of lovely champagne and luscious, hand-crafted chocolates from Knipschildt Chocolatier of Norwark, CT, for a truly luxurious experience.

About Caramoor Caramoor is the legacy of Walter and Lucie Rosen, who built their summer home - now known as the historic Rosen House at Caramoor - and filled it with their treasures. Walter Rosen was the master planner for the Caramoor estate, bringing to reality his dream of creating a place to entertain friends from around the world. Their musical evenings were the seeds of today's Caramoor International Music Festival and Fall and Spring Indoor seasons. Realizing the pleasure their friends took in the beauty of Caramoor - the house with artworks spanning the centuries from B.C.E. to the 20th-century, the gardens, and the musical programs on summer evenings - in 1946 the Rosens established a public charity to open Caramoor to the community.
