Saturday, April 22, 11:30 am & 1:00 pm Klezmer for Kids - Family Music Program Sing, clap and dance in the aisles to the lively klezmer music of Eastern Europe. The program provides a fascinating insight into 19th century life in the Jewish shtetles (villages). Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Tickets include champagne and dessert with Ms. Blackhurst following the performance.

The evening starts with hors d'oeuvres and a preview of the 2006 Special Exhibition in the House Museum, Caldwell & Company: Masters of Metal and Light. Games of chance for prizes follow (Black Jack, Roulette, Texas Hold'em Poker to name a few). A delicious dinner, Viennese table, open bar, even a fortune teller and silent auction completes the evening. Casino chic attire.

May 21 through December Caldwell & Company - Masters of Metal and Light - 2006 House Museum Special Exhibition Edward F. Caldwell Company of New York City was the premiere manufacturer and designer of light fixtures, decorative objects, and metalwork from 1896 until its closure after World War II. Edward F. Caldwell, designer, and his co-founder, Victor F. von Lossberg, an artist and enamellist, quickly became sought-after for their innovative use of the fledgling electric technology available combined with historical and artistic lighting forms. Caramoor's founders, Lucie and Walter Rosen, commissioned many pieces from Caldwell & Company. This exhibition will include correspondence between Mr. Rosen and the Caldwell firm, as well as quotations and drawings for objects on display, many for the first time. Curated by Christopher Mills and Jeffery S. Figly.
Museum Hours: Wednesday through Sunday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with the last tour beginning at 3:00 pm.

Wednesday, May 24, 11:00 am Flamenco in the Courtyard - Spanish Courtyard As the grounds at Caramoor are bursting with spring flowers, the legendary song and dance of Spain bursts forth with passion and rhythm in the House Museum's Spanish Courtyard. Featuring Sara Erde, dancer; Alfonso Cid, vocals and flute; Raphael Brunn, guitar. Afterward, enjoy a buffet lunch.

Tuesday, June 6, 11:00 am Lecture: Caldwell & Company - Masters of Metal and Light - Museum Event
A lecture regarding one of the foremost firms of the 20th Century specializing in artistic metal work. Many stunning pieces by Caldwell & Company are in the Caramoor House Museum and are the subject of the Museum's 2006 special exhibition. An informal luncheon served in the Summer Dining Room will follow. Reservations required.

Wednesday, June 14, 10:30 am Spring Ritual - Museum Event Enjoy a lovely recital in the Music Room by Mary McCarthy, soprano, with pianist Don Wiggins, a tour of the House Museum, and lunch in the Summer Dining Room while Mary Lou Pappas, Caramoor's floral designer demonstrates how to bring nature into your home. Following lunch, Caramoor's head gardener will offer an exclusive guided tour of the estate's magnificent gardens in full bloom.

Saturday, June 17, 1:00 - 3:00 pm Kids, Dads & the Fabulous Falconer - Family Event An early Father's Day celebration: lunch on Caramoor's beautiful picnic grounds followed by an awesome show with Falconer Brian Bradley, who will be giving free-flying demonstrations and talk about how he has trained these beautiful predatory birds.
