Marcy Blum "eventiste" president of Marcy Blum Events Inc.
Caramoor is enchanted, I'm sure of it. Even when we show it to our clients in the dead of winter, the beauty that it will be in the spring and summer is palpable. For an exquisite yet whimsical wedding that we produced last year for a Westchester bride and her Western groom the adaptability of the grounds and the wealth of possibilities both for the ceremony and the reception inspired us to create something very special for them and for their guests. The extraordinary event staff at Caramoor is not only knowledgeable beyond any expectation, but kind and caring as well. I am finicky and my clients are very discerning as well, that is why I unequivocally recommend Caramoor for events of any sort; when a venue is enchanted it makes our job so much easier! |

Allison and Ross Gould married at Caramoor in September 2007:
Ross & I love the outdoors and we knew that we wanted our wedding to celebrate our connection to the natural world. At the same time, we wanted to find a place that would be easily accessible to all of our family and friends. When we visited Caramoor for the first time, we were immediately impressed with the gardens, sprawling lawns, and towering trees. There was such a special feeling about the place; a real sense of peace and beauty. The fact that Caramoor is a music and arts center made it all the more alluring to us. When we discovered the incredible Cedar Path, which connects the Sunken Garden where we held our ceremony with the garden where our reception took place, we knew we'd found our very own "wedding nature trail" and more over, the perfect location for our wedding.
As our first anniversary approached last Fall, we thought there was no better way to celebrate than with a picnic at Caramoor, and we intend to make that an annual tradition. We've also attended several of the summer music festival concerts, and we are so happy that we are able to remain connected to the place where we were married. Every time we drive up that sweeping tree-lined driveway, we are brought back to the most magical day of our lives. |

Robin and Arthur Klausner married at Caramoor June 2006
Somehow, the beautiful love story of Lucie and Walter Rosen is faithfully reflected in the grounds of Caramoor and in the way a couple is embraced by the staff when they first arrive to plan their wedding.
The support, advice, and organization were invaluable, and the enthusiasm of everyone we worked with made us feel excitedly welcomed into the Caramoor "family."
Our ceremony, amidst the bountiful flowers and greenery of the walled Sunken Garden, the hors d'oeuvres on the lush tapestry lawn, and our reception in the charming tent and stone Italian Pavillion, lent the air of a majestic yet intimate private home in the Italian countryside. We were able to design the wedding of our dreams and our guests still talk about Caramoor's magic, to this day.
Caramoor is the kind of place you wish you could come back to over and over again to re-live your special day – and, luckily, we have indeed returned to what will always be "our" Caramoor, to picnic, attend concerts, or just stroll the grounds and recapture the feeling of our own love story. |

David from David Stark Design:
"We are constantly searching for the perfect outdoor paradise for our client's wedding celebrations, and Caramoor is our new favorite answer to that challenge! So close to New York City, but far enough away to feel the pulse of nature, the gorgeous grounds, ranging from formal gardens to shaded wooded paths, the staff who treats each event as if it is their own, and a series of architectural gems on the park-like campus allow for much flexibility and customization. We and our clients could not have been more thrilled with the responsiveness of the Caramoor team, and its setting filled with unique character.
We cannot wait to be back." |
