MUSEUM TOURS The docent-led tour takes the visitors back to another place in another time. Walter and Lucie Rosen built the estate as their summer home in the early part of the twentieth century to accomodate their vast collection of Asian and European art and furnishings: tapestries, paintings, sculpture, textiles, stained glass, furniture, cloisonné and a major jade collection. Caramoor is one of five famous mansions in the United States that incorporate entire rooms from European villas and palaces. The House Museum is a jewel awaiting your visit.
