The Fall Festival, new in 2009, has been a spectacular success. Family Concerts - Designed to create exciting, enriching experiences for the whole family, Caramoor’s family music programs aim to deepen a child’s knowledge of and passion for music by presenting high quality concerts in a unique, arts-rich setting. Indoors Series - Our annual Indoors Series brings chamber music into the exquisite Music Room of the historic Rosen House during the winter and spring. There is something for everyone all year round at Caramoor! | YOUNG ARTIST MENTORING Evnin Rising Stars - Led by Pamela Frank, eight to ten young instrumentalists come together with three distinguished artists for a week of intensive rehearsals, coaching, and performances of works from the core of the chamber music repertoire. Vocal Rising Stars - Based on the successful Rising Stars program, advanced student/beginning professional-level singers are invited by the New York Festival of Song’s Steven Blier to attend a week-long residency involving intensive daily coaching, rehearsals, and workshops outside the realm of opera, focusing on the song recital and vocal chamber music. The Terrance W. Schwab Fund for Young Vocal Artists - Double the impact of your gift to Vocal Rising Stars with a contribution to The Terrance W. Schwab Fund for Young Vocal Artists. Created in memory of former Caramoor Trustee Terrance W. Schwab by his family, the fund is designed to nurture and support the artistic development and careers of young vocalists at Caramoor. Bel Canto Young Artists - Beginning professional-level singers receive coaching in bel canto singing and perform in the chorus of Caramoor’s opera productions under Will Crutchfield. Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-Residence - A different quartet is selected each year to perform in area middle/high schools, provide training to string students in nearby schools, and perform in three concerts during the Summer International Music Festival and the Winter/Spring Indoors series. | ARTS-IN-EDUCATION Arts-in-Education - Since 1986, approximately 5,000 students each year are provided with arts-in-education opportunities that harness our exceptional facilities, visiting artists, and dedicated staff, while meeting NYS education standards. Caramoor places an emphasis on reaching out to schools from under-resourced communities in Westchester County and New York City. Students from these schools receive scheduling priority, fee waivers, and transportation underwriting, thanks to the generous support of government agencies, foundations, and people like you. | ROSEN HOUSE & GARDENS Rosen House - The centerpiece of Caramoor's campus, the historic Rosen House is a Mediterranean-style home that serves as a venue for concerts and educational programs. Unique among early 20th-century homes, it includes wholly imported European period rooms and is filled with the Rosens’ vast collection of European and Asian art and furnishings. Gardens and Estate - The Caramoor estate sprawls over 90 lovely acres that were designed to be a jewel-like setting for musical events, as well as a place for pleasurable strolling and picnicking. | Contribute online and submit a donation via our secure server.
