MISSION STATEMENT: Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts – a unique Westchester County setting of Italianate architecture and gardens – enriches the lives of its audiences through innovative and diverse musical performances of the highest quality, mentors young professional musicians, and engages young children through interactive, educational experiences that deepen their relationship to and understanding of music. SUPPORT CARAMOOR'S MISSION As a tax-deductible charity, Caramoor depends on your donations to support our mission. Ticket sales cover only a percentage of the costs associated with presenting exciting, year-round musical performances.
In addition Caramoor incurs the costs of our young artist mentoring programs, our arts-in-education programs for students, maintaining the historic Rosen House and its exemplary collection, as well as the 90 acres of beautiful Italianate gardens.

Family ConcertsDesigned to create exciting, enriching experiences for the whole family, Caramoor’s family music program aims to deepen a child’s knowledge of and passion for music by presenting high quality concerts in a unique, arts-rich setting. |  YOUNG ARTIST MENTORING
Bel Canto Young Artists Beginning professional-level singers receive coaching in bel canto singing, perform in the chorus of Caramoor’s opera productions, and fill various solo performances slots that arise in connection with the International Music Festival.
Rising Stars Eight to ten young instrumentalists come together with three distinguished artists for a week of intensive rehearsals, coaching, and performances of works from the heart of the chamber music repertoire.
Vocal Rising Stars Based on the successful Rising Stars program, beginning professional-level singers attend a week-long residency involving intensive daily coaching, rehearsals, and workshops outside the realm of opera, focusing on the song recital and vocal chamber music.
The Terrance W. Schwab Fund for Young Vocal Artists Double the impact of your gift to Vocal Rising Stars with a contribution to The Terrance W. Schwab Fund for Young Vocal Artists. Created in memory of former Caramoor Trustee Terrance W. Schwab by his family, the fund is designed to nurture and support the artistic development and careers of young vocalists at Caramoor.
Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-Residence A young string ensemble is annually selected for this residency program, which includes outreach programs in area schools as well as performance opportunities at Caramoor throughout the year.
Caramoor Virtuosi A rotating ensemble, most of whom have come up through the Rising Stars program; performances throughout the year provide welcome opportunities for these young professional musicians at a crucial point in their careers.

Arts-in-Education Annually since 1986, approximately 5,000 students are provided with arts-in-education opportunities that harness our exceptional facilities, visiting artists, and dedicated staff, while meeting NYS education standards. |  ROSEN HOUSE & GARDENS Rosen House
The centerpiece of the Caramoor campus, a Mediterranean-style house that serves as a venue for concerts and educational programs. Unique among early 20th-century homes, it includes wholly imported European period rooms and is filled with the Rosens’ vast collection of European and Asian art and furnishings. Gardens and EstateWith 90 acres of beautiful Italianate gardens and rolling parklands, Caramoor is a haven for outdoor concerts, picnics, and exploration. |  To contribute online, please click here and submit a donation via our secure server. They are a perennial highlight of the region’s social and artistic life, attracting affluent patrons from the tri-state area, and often enjoy arts and social coverage among local publications as well as The New York Times. Cabaret in the Music Room, Opening Night Gala, Soirée at the Rosen House, Bel Canto Opera Luncheon, Fall Festival Gala and Evening of Wine helped Caramoor raise 25% of its revenue last year.
