Fall Festival Gala
Friday, September 23, 2011

Caramoor celebrated the return of the New York Philharmonic with a Fall Festival Gala on Friday, September 23rd. The Philharmonic’s dynamic Music Director, Alan Gilbert, and young violin phenom Augustin Hadelich shaped a sumptuous program featuring Mozart’s last violin concerto and Beethoven’s heroic 3rd Symphony.

After the concert, guests enjoyed a fall-inspired dinner, prepared by Great Performances, in the cozy, autumnally decorated Reception Tent. Gala co-chairs Patricia and Edward Falkenberg and guests helped raise nearly $200,000 to help Caramoor continue enriching the lives of its audiences through innovative and diverse musical performances of the highest quality.

Opening Night Gala
Saturday, June 25, 2011

Caramoor lifted its anchor and set sail into the opening of its 66th summer music Festival on Saturday, June 25th. The nautical-themed Gala was inspired by Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore, which was performed later that evening to a sold-out audience.

With Gala Co-chairs Mary Ann Hawley and Richard O’Leary at the helm, Caramoor raised $480,000 to support its mission.

Wine Dinner
Saturday, May 7, 2011

A once-in-a-lifetime dinner, prepared by Two-star Michelin Chef Mathias Dahlgren, was held at the home of Peter and Kate Kend Saturday, May 7th. The renowned Swedish chef and his team prepared a multitude of courses, each one a unique experience of every sense, which were complimented with equally paired wines. Cuban Jazz pianist sensation Chuchito Valdés kicked-off of the evening with a flamboyant performance.

Thanks to our generous hosts, money raised from this evening support Caramoor’s year-round music and education programs.
