June 25, 2010 On Monday June 28th at 9pm, tune in to PBS’ History Detectives where you can see PBS’ detectives investigate the theremin at Caramoor’s own Rosen House. As visitors to Caramoor are aware, Caramoor’s founders, Walter and Lucie Rosen, were friends of Leon Theremin, the inventor of the electronic instrument. Lucie Rosen went on to study the theremin and go on three European tours where she displayed both the futuristic sounds of the theremin as well as her mastery of the instrument. On June 28th, Caramoor and Lucie’s Theremin is one of PBS History Detective Elyse Luray’s stops as she investigates the theremin!
