We invite you to a special benefit evening with an artistic legend who transformed American music. John Hiatt, whom the Los Angeles Times calls “… one of rock’s most astute singer-songwriters of the last 40 years,” has created songs recorded by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, Rosanne Cash, B.B. King, the Jeff Healey Band, and dozens more. He has received his own star on Nashville’s Walk of Fame, the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting, and has been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

This intimate evening is an annual celebration supporting Caramoor’s Arts-in-Education programs for grade-school children. It offers fabulous food, each year prepared by a different guest chef, paired with rare wines from the area’s best private cellars.

In 2019, we take you across Europe aboard the luxurious Orient Express through wine, food, and song. Enjoy the elegance of the Golden Age of travel without leaving the Rosen House.

Celebrate the arrival of the 2019 Summer Season at this year’s Groundbreaking Gala! On Caramoor’s biggest and grandest night of the year, we begin to enjoy the sounds of summer and break ground on the visitor improvement projects that will happen at the end of the season. The evening begins with a cocktail reception and dinner. Then, enjoy premium concert seating in the Venetian Theater and stay for the After Dark post-performance party with dessert and dancing under the stars.

The Music Room transforms into an intimate cabaret for this annual Benefit Concert. Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Christine Ebersole graces the Music Room stage for a unique evening celebrating the American Songbook. After her performance, she graciously mingles with guests at the champagne reception in the Formal Dining Room.

Jazz vocalist and Grammy-winner Cécile McLorin Salvant and pianist Sullivan Fortner return to Caramoor for this special evening.

As a not-for-profit cultural organization, Caramoor depends on the generosity of individual contributors to help underwrite the music we offer and this exceptional concert is a benefit to raise funds for our Music Room programming featured throughout the year.

    Emily Skinner has been praised for a cabaret performance that found her “in fine form throughout, bubbling over with personality” (Playbill). It’s an evening you won’t want to end and don’t want to miss. A champagne and dessert reception with Ms. Skinner follows the performance.
