The 75th Summer Season comes to a close with our resident ensemble, Orchestra of St. Luke’s led by the dynamic conductor Karina Canellakis making her Caramoor debut. Violinist Leonidas Kavakos joins the orchestra for Beethoven’s Violin Concert in D Major. Kavakos’ recent recording of the concerto garnered praise from The Guardian who summed up the performance by saying, “with his sweet, powerful tone and technical precision, Kavakos treats the performance as conversation rather than combat, decorating and accompanying as much as leading the musical argument.”
