Overview

Our Wednesday Morning Concerts are accompanied by a tour of the Mediterranean-style Rosen House and its collection of fine and decorative art amassed by our founders, Walter and Lucie Rosen, as well as an optional seasonally inspired buffet lunch. Be sure to explore the gardens too!

Kelsey Robertson

Kelsey Robertson, mezzo-soprano

Mezzo-soprano Kelsey Robertson recently completed her first year as an Apprentice Artist with Palm Beach Opera in their 2016-2017 covering the roles of Giovanna and Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto and Kate and Edith in Pirates of Penzance. Kelsey was an Apprentice Artist in the 2015 and 2016 season at Caramoor appearing in recitals and in the choruses of Fidelio, Aureliano in Palmira, Dialogues des Carmélites and La Favorite. Kelsey sang as a Season Artist for Opera Saratoga’s Outreach program singing the role of Composer in Operation Superpower.

Kelsey received her B.M. from Oberlin Conservatory and her M.M. from Eastman School of Music. During her time at Eastman she performed the roles of Mrs. Jones in Street Scene and the title role in Xerxes. At Oberlin she sang the role of Antonia in A Wedding and was an active participant in opera choruses and opera scenes.

 


Derrick Goff

Derrick Goff, piano

Derrick Goff is a coach and conductor based in New York. Recent productions include Idomeneo and Don Pasquale with the Princeton Opera Alliance and Don Giovanni with Lawrence Opera Theatre in Kansas. During the 2016 Summer Music Season, Mr. Goff returned for a fifth summer to Bel Canto at Caramoor as pianist, coach, and chorusmaster for Aureliano in Palmira, and he lead a recital “The Intimate Rossini: Ensembles and Choruses,” featuring the Bel Canto Young Artists and Apprentices.

In addition to his work in opera, he is the Organist and Choirmaster at St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh in Philadelphia. Mr. Goff studied organ and church music at Westminster Choir College, where he also completed a M.M. in Voice Performance and Pedagogy.
