Do I still need a ticket if I’m a Caramoor Member?
Caramoor Members receive complimentary access to seven livestreams this Fall Season. For complimentary events, Caramoor Members do not need to reserve a ticket. However, for events that are not complimentary, Caramoor members will have to reserve access by following the traditional checkout path from an event’s information page.
How do tickets work for a virtual event?
Your purchased events are linked to your account email address with Caramoor, so all you need to ensure your entrance into the virtual event is access to the email account you purchased tickets with. Be sure to check your communication preferences to be sure you have opted in to receive communications about your order from us and look out for an email with a link to view.
I have a ticket. How do I watch?
If you have purchased a ticket after October 8, 2020, the e-Ticket emailed to the address connected to your ticket purchase will include a link to a private Vimeo video. All ticket buyers will receive an additional email on the day of the livestream with more detailed information about that day’s event as well as a direct link to view. You do not need a Vimeo account to watch a video on Vimeo.
If you experience issues with your email or the direct link, both Members and ticket buyers can also watch on our website by using your Caramoor account email address and password. Each livestream event has its own dedicated ‘Watch’ page linked from the event information page. In order to access each event’s ‘Watch’ page, you will need to be logged in to your account with the email you purchased tickets with.
If I prefer to watch on your website, can I check in advance that my account will work?
Yes! We have set up a Livestream Watch test page so you can check your account access ahead of time. This page is set to allow access to any logged-in ticket holder for this fall’s livestreams.
Can I watch the livestream after it airs?
All of our scheduled livestreams will be available for ticket buyers and Members to watch for 24 hours after the close of the live event. There is a turnover period of about 30 minutes while the livestream is being archived causing the video to be unavailable. If you missed out on purchasing a ticket before the event aired, you will still be able to purchase or reserve a ticket for 22 hours following the close of the event.
I’m viewing on Vimeo and I can’t get rid of the chat box when viewing in full screen.
Before selecting to view the Vimeo player full screen, select ‘minimize’ from the chat menu accessible by selecting the three dots in the top right corner of the chat window. Once the chat window is minimized, you will be able to go full screen with the player without viewing the chat.
Can I watch on my TV?
At this moment, our livestream platform, Vimeo, is not able to stream live video through its TV apps. However, if you use devices such as Chromecast or Apple AirPlay, you are able to cast or mirror video from your mobile device to your TV.
Once the live event has been archived, you can view the event through the Vimeo apps available for Apple TV, Android TV devices, Amazon Fire TV devices, as well as Chromecast and AirPlay. If your TV or TV device does not already have the Vimeo app installed, search “Vimeo” in the native store to add it. For most TVs, you will need to set up a Vimeo account to watch Caramoor livestreams. You can log in to Vimeo with your Facebook or Google account or you can create a free Vimeo Basic account.
Once your Vimeo app is set up, navigate to the livestream video player. In the top right corner of the video player, you will find a small clock icon. Select this ‘Watch Later’ option which will add this video to your ‘Watch Later’ queue on Vimeo. Navigate to the Vimeo app on your TV where your home page will show a thumbnail of the archived event in the ‘Watch Later’ menu. Select this thumbnail and your video will begin.
We will be adding clips from archived performances periodically to our Vimeo account so follow us on Vimeo to keep on watching!
Can I watch from anywhere?
Streaming video works best over WiFi or Ethernet. Connections over Cellular Data are often not as strong, so we recommend watching from a device connected to a reliable internet connection.
