American Roots refers to the broad musical traditions unique to the American experience. Join us for a peaceful and relaxing Saturday enjoying echoes of bluegrass, folk, country, blues, string band, New Orleans soul, gospel and jazz. Bring the family, a blanket or chairs and pack a picnic (or purchase food on site) for a real good time!
FULL FESTIVAL TICKET - access to everything! 12:30-6:00pm. General lawn seating Friends Field and the Sunken Garden. Daytime features music throughout the grounds with the swinging rhythms of Eilen Jewell and her band, Red Molly’s folk, gospel, bluegrass inspired three part harmonies, southern style ‘steamboat soul’ from Roosevelt Dime, banjo songster Old Man Luedecke and the inventive alt/trad string band Spuyten Duyvil. 7:30-10:00pm. Reserved seating Venetian Theater. Evening Performers: Hot Tuna Acoustic – with the legendary Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady and Barry Mitterhoff – and David Bromberg Quartet, led by acoustic guitar master David Bromberg, dominate the evening with a performance in the majestic Venetian Theater. This is sure to be a magical performance by music icons, long time friends and collaborators! DAY ONLY TICKET - excludes evening performers 12:30-6pm. General lawn seating Friends Field and the Sunken Garden. Enjoy all the daytime music and activities (see above)! Excludes evening performance by David Bromberg Quartet and Hot Tuna Acoustic.
