GREAT ARTISTS IN THE MUSIC ROOM

Fall 2010
The most enduringly loved composer of the Classical era, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart created pinnacles of the repertoire in every genre that he touched. His inexhaustible genius, his vision of music as redeeming humanity, and his prolific body of work have had a profound influence on subsequent Western art music. Prodigious and inspired, Mozart turned out masterpiece after masterpiece creating a style that fused gracefulness and brilliance with passion and the darker shades of emotion. This fall, Caramoor presents Moz(art)-a series exploring the master’s more intimate and collaborative music. Join us in experiencing a beautiful selection of chamber and vocal works: music that musicians play after hours.

Spring 2011
The artists appearing in this spring’s four-concert series put the ‘great’ in Great Artists in the Music Room. After leaving indelible impressions with their prior appearances at Caramoor, these artists return to the jewel-like setting of the Music Room—the veritable heart of Caramoor—to share the artistry, mastery, and passion for which they are renowned around the world.
