ANNUAL PLANT SALE Garden Courtyard Thursday, April 30 through Sunday, May 3, 2009 10:00am - 5:00pm daily (except Sunday, May 3; 12:00 - 5:00pm)

Caramoor's Annual Plant Sale is always a source for new and unusual planting materials. Highlights include large landscape Bromeliads in brilliant shades of bronze and gold, pale green, pink and red, which make great container plants; a new peach, double-flowered Brugmansia, "Watercolors," developed by Caramoor's Horticulturist, Clifford Dickson. The sale will once again feature the ever popular cold-hardy Camellias referred to as "Ice Angels;" a variety of temperate Camellias will also be available. In addition to the selection of annuals and perennials, a large selection of succulents and tropicals will be available.
Also included in the sale is a wide selection of peppers (suitable for stuffing and frying); grape tomatoes including a new variety of "Tomatoberry" - same size and shape as a strawberry with intense tomato flavor; and a one-slice-makes-a-sandwich "Whopper." All plants are hardened-off and well developed which makes transferring them to their new home less stressful for the plant and gardener.
Unique, custom-made tufa pots and brightly colored glazed terra cotta containers from Mexico makes this sale a one-stop haven for gardeners.
