I just finished mailing out checks for the kids’ summer camps. Now, with what little money’s left, I need to do something for myself. Since the kids will be spending week after week pursuing fun activities, I think I deserve at least one night out. Yet once I hire a babysitter and pay for parking in the city, I won’t have enough cash for tickets and drinks.
However, if I hurry, I might still be able to get a ticket for Caramoor’s Cabaret in the Music Room on May 8. This annual event, which usually sells out, includes a post-performance champagne and dessert reception with this year’s star—Faith Prince! Since the ticket price includes refreshments—and the parking is free—I might even have enough money left over for a manicure!
