If you have to work on the Fourth of July, you better make it fun. This year, I was given the privilege of lighting off the initial fireworks for this year’s Pops, Patriots and Fireworks concert. Not only was it an outstanding day, with a sold out concert and a great performance, but the fireworks went off flawlessly. Watching them from the area where they are actually set up with the Katonah Fire Department was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I’m glad I didn’t pass on. Next year, I pass the torch to someone else to light the first one. Everyone should experience something like that once in their life. Happy belated 4th!
