November 18, 2010 Since its creation in 1992, the Caramoor Virtuosi have been the musical backbone of Caramoor, presenting exceptional chamber music played by extraordinary musicians. The Caramoor Virtuosi is an ever-evolving ensemble of musicians who began their association with Caramoor as young adults in the Rising Stars program. Now these artists are on the cutting edge of the classical music scene, collaborating with the leaders in classical music and performing in the greatest venues around the world. Cellist Edward Aaron leads the ensemble, saying “some of my closest friends were Rising Stars nearly 20 years ago, and they still come back to Caramoor to play.” The group is never the same from year to year, which adds to the excitement for both the musicians and the audience. Come out this Saturday night to see the current Virtuosi ensemble in concert! For more information and tickets go to http://www.caramoor.org/festival/greatartists#virtuosi Leave the first comment
