CARAMOOR'S ROSEN HOUSE HOSTS SPOOKY & GHOSTLY TALES FOR KIDS, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30TH
Katonah, NY - The historic Rosen House at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts becomes an eerie Halloween mansion on Friday, October 30, 2009 when it hosts Spooky & Ghostly (but not too scary) Halloween Tales.
Bring the little ones (we really mean it...it's not too scary!) to a riveting performance for youngsters by master storyteller Lorraine Hartin-Gelardi. Her interactive spin on spooky stories of goblins, ghosts, and witches is designed to entertain youngsters. A special witch's brew (known to mortals as "cider") will be served in the Rosen House cloisters along with a ghoulish dough (mortals call this "cookies").
Costumes are encouraged (yes, parents too) and prizes will be given to the best ones, with every child going home with a prize. So bring your witches hats and fairytale tutus and join the fun!
This event is recommended for children ages 3 to 8.
Tickets Tickets for children are $10 and adults are a lucky $13. Call the Caramoor Box Office at 914.232.1252 or visit www.caramoor.org.
Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts is located at 149 Girdle Ridge Road, Katonah, New York.
About Caramoor Caramoor is the legacy of Walter and Lucie Rosen, who built their summer home - now known as the historic Rosen House at Caramoor - and filled it with their treasures. Walter Rosen was the master planner for the Caramoor estate, bringing to reality his dream of creating a place to entertain friends from around the world. Their musical evenings were the seeds of today's Caramoor International Music Festival and Fall and Spring Indoor seasons. Realizing the pleasure their friends took in the beauty of Caramoor - the house with artworks spanning the centuries from B.C.E. to the 20th-century, the gardens, and the musical programs on summer evenings - in 1946 the Rosens established a public charity to open Caramoor to the community.
