Luminous and timeless. Living legends grace these stages.

Our commitment to the American Songbook manifests itself each year in our annual Cabaret in the Music Roombenefit event and in subsequent headline performances by the genre’s greatest voices. Beginning with the introduction of Barbara Cook to Caramoor audiences in 1995, our roster of talents working at the intersection of popular music, show tunes, and vocal jazz continues to grow.

The American Songbook at Caramoor is Broadway’s leading ladies and lads. It’s Andrea Marcovicci, Karen Akers, Liz Callaway, and Katy Sullivan. It’s Sondheim and Gershwin and Sinatra. It’s Audra McDonald belting “When Did I Fall in Love?” to a rapt, packed Venetian Theater. It’s Patti LuPone commanding both your attention and your unfailing admiration. It’s the charm of a smoky, Midtown lounge amid stunning gardens and greenery. It’s a little glitz and plenty of glamour.

“It’s a dream to work with people [at Caramoor,] who feel that music is like breathing.”
