    Action

Philanthropic support at Caramoor makes a profound difference for the artists who perform here and for the donors who choose to invest in our mission. Your generosity sustains world-class performances, nurtures emerging artists, preserves the legacy of the historic Rosen House, and keeps Caramoor’s gardens and grounds open for all to enjoy.

    Artist Spotlight:
    Ivalas Quartet

Founded in 2017, the Ivalas Quartet served as Caramoor’s 2022–23 Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-Residence, a flagship mentoring program made possible through generous philanthropic support. During their residency, the Quartet highlighted past and present BIPOC composers alongside the standard repertory, and they premiered a newly commissioned work. In addition to their performances in the historic Rosen House Music Room, the Quartet worked with student ensembles in local schools during two 10-day residency periods.

Since then, the Quartet has signed with professional management, served as the 2024–2025 Curator and Performing Ensemble of the Schneider Concerts at The New School in New York City, and been named the inaugural Fellows at the Kaufmann Music Center for the 2025–26 season.

    • Our time as the Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-Residence was immensely impactful. Over the course of the residency, we were able to present three distinct concert programs, for which Caramoor granted us total artistic liberty. We are profoundly grateful to Caramoor’s leadership for fostering our creativity in programming and for giving us such a wonderful sandbox to play in. We have so many fond memories of our time at Caramoor!

    Member Spotlight:
    Kathy and Marc Pucci

Kathy and Marc Pucci have been part of the Caramoor family for 17 years, giving consistently and attending concerts across nearly every genre. They embody the Caramoor spirit with their curiosity and enthusiasm, always eager to discover something new while still returning to their longtime favorites, including the Evnin Rising Stars mentoring program and opportunities to meet artists at post-show receptions. In 2025 alone, they attended more than 20 performances, demonstrating their deep commitment to the music and community they love.

    • Caramoor is an oasis from our everyday lives, a haven filled with music, art, dance and the beauty of nature. The heart of Caramoor is its vibrant, inclusive community, people young and old, joined in celebration throughout the year. Caramoor creates inspirational experiences. It is our favorite place in the world.

    Donor Spotlight:
    Lisa and Paul Welch

Lisa and Paul Welch have been visiting Caramoor for more than thirty years. Their first date was a picnic lunch on Caramoor’s grounds, and they were later married in the Sunken Garden on what they describe as a “perfect, perfect day.” They regularly invite friends and family for a tour, a meal, or a concert so they can discover Caramoor’s many hidden treasures. Lisa and Paul especially enjoy the all-day jazz and roots festivals, where they host guests for lively BBQ picnics. They are also passionate about discovering new artists who perform at Caramoor, including harpist Edmar Castañeda, singer-songwriter Sarah Jarosz, and jazz pianist Joey Alexander.

In 2018, Lisa joined the Board of Trustees, deepening her and Paul’s engagement with Caramoor. They take great joy in supporting top priorities through their annual contributions and in attending special events that raise funds for Rosen House conservation, mentoring programs, and other important initiatives.

    • Caramoor has shaped so many of our happiest moments, from early dates to our wedding, so supporting it feels like giving back to a place that has enriched our lives—and that we love introducing to friends. Each gift is part of our stewardship of this special place, helping ensure that future audiences can discover the same sense of joy, beauty, and connection that means so much to us.
