Mentoring
Caramoor offers three annual mentoring programs for young professional musicians, which have supported over 400 exceptionally talented young artists as they transition into the early stages of a professional career.

Our Story
Caramoor was built to be the country home of Walter and Lucie Rosen. Today it is a destination for exceptional music, spectacular grounds, and a unique historic home.
Caramoor Today
Caramoor has evolved into one of the region’s most distinctive destinations for live performances, cultural engagement, and exploration.

Caramoor History
Inspired by their travels, Walter and Lucie Rosen set about creating their ideal retreat. The Rosens kept the name “Caramoor” after its previous owner Carolyn Moore Hoyt, because cara amore in Italian means “dear love.”

Rosen House & Collection
Working with architect Christian Rosborg, the Rosens imagined a house filled with architecture and art works that would showcase the craftsmanship of past centuries. Today, the Rosen House remains fully furnished with the family’s collection.
