Our Grounds
and Venues
Caramoor’s largest and signature music venue takes its name from the historic arches and columns that provide a striking backdrop for our live concerts. This fully tented space, surrounded by greenery, offers a beautiful setting for performances. Only covered beverages are allowed inside.
This central lawn is used for programs throughout the fair-weather seasons. With no built-in seating, you’ll need to bring your own blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics to enjoy during performances presented on the covered stage. Food and drinks are allowed (and encouraged!).
This intimate, partially covered space occupies the center of the historic Rosen House. Here you will feel transported to a Mediterranean villa and enjoy viewing the night sky during evening performances. Only covered beverages are allowed within.
At the heart of the historic Rosen House, the Music Room is a soaring yet intimate space used for chamber music, recitals, American roots music and jazz performances, as well as lectures and Caramoor's popular Afternoon Teas. You’ll find yourself surrounded with Renaissance furniture, stained glass windows and architectural elements the Rosens collected and installed in this unique space. Only covered beverages are permitted inside during performances.
This historic garden is an outdoor performance space and true gem on Caramoor’s grounds. Whether you encounter the garden on a stroll of the grounds or take part in our wonderful Music and Meditation events, it is a must- see location on your visit. Food and drinks are allowed. Note that there is no seating in the Sunken Garden, so you’ll need to bring your own chairs or blankets.
Once the country home of Walter and Lucie Rosen, the Mediterranean-style historic home remains fully furnished with the works the Rosens gathered in their appreciation of artistic skill through the centuries. Learn more about the family and their unique collection on a guided tour.

The Diane Moss Education Center is a resource for visiting school groups and community partners. Public classes and programs also take place here. Its flexible spaces can be reimagined for many purposes.
